9. Kandui
SWELL
West quadrant swells are Kandui’s bread and butter – the bigger, the better. It’s a rapid wave, and size gives you the space to navigate the cavernous depths of its barrels.
Wind
Offshore is king here. East winds create the optimal, glassy conditions Kandui craves. Avoid cross shore or light onshore winds; it’s simply not worth it.
Tide
Aim for high tide, where there’s just enough water cushioning the reef.
Location
Kandui sits majestically to the south of our resort on the resplendent Karangmajat Island, beckoning the brave.
Distance
A 20 minute boat ride is all that separates you from the majesty of Kandui, a journey that’s as thrilling as the destination itself, especially as the swell and tides conspire to speed you on your way.
